Things are heating up! Shooting for the pilot pitch "B-Listed" starts this Saturday. Current discussion: am I keeping the beard I have been growing for the past week or is it not Joe? Decisions decisions. Filming from October 16-24th out somewhere in New Jersey suburbs.

Improv team Ghost Fight is set to host its first show at The Players Theater in the Village on November 12th. Themed "Camp," with guest teams Space Camp and Howdy Stranger, and A bagpiper guest introducer, the show is set to entertain. 10 PM show time.

Pre-production on the working titled "The George Francis Diary" is fully underway. Casting is set to be completed by early November and an additional round of draft edits is currently in the works. An IndieGoGo fundraising page is set to be launched in the next couple of days featuring an introduction to the project by one Evan Bass.

Last, and definitely not least, the second round of Alzheimer play performance test runs is coming up also in the beginning week or two of November. Will be the last performances before the Phase I final performance in late November or early December.

I took a hiatus to Chicago and then Alaska and then back into the thick of things in NYC. Since coming back Wednesday, I have met with London-based director Chris Gage for a rehearsal of two plays being developed specifically for the Alzheimer's population (written, and initially acted in, by yours truly and the wonderful Miranda Noelle Wilson). After a quick 5-hour rehearsal and script changes, Thursday and Friday, I participated in the first round of performances. We are on track to having two very special plays. The residents were engaged and involved and, as partial actors/improvisers in the piece, led to many an interesting turn.

Then Friday I continued my day of performances and pulled a double-header by doing an improv show at the Sparks Cafe & Arts Center with my team, Ghost Fight.

Saturday brought a musical improv class (through the Magnet Theater) --yup, musical-- and another meeting with Chris before he headed back to the UK.

Today brought a meeting for a sketch (video and stage) group that I may get involved with.

I look forward to some sleep--though the feature-length horror/thriller I am producing will not write itself.

Smiles.

So it looks like I am on the front page of CollegeHumor.com right now. I partook in a video ("Honest Movie Theater Recap") that looks like it just came out. I am in Anchorage on my iPhone, so cannot watch it at the moment. Should be a good time though. Check it out!

Things have been amping up here and there is much to explain. First, my improv team, Ghost Fight, is performing in the Upright Citizens Brigade's annual Del Close Marathon this coming weekend. If you want to catch us during this 52-hour, 3+ venue marathon (full schedule here), we are performing at 8:45 in the AM on Sunday, August 1st, at Urban Stages. Which actually beats the last time I performed at DCM, in which I am pretty sure I was in a 5:30 AM slot, oh the memories. Can't catch it in person? Why not listen to it live on Sirius Radio!

After DCM, I fly over to Chicago to help a friend, who will be later named, with a short film he wrote and is directing. Think "Little Monsters" meets "Drop Dead Fred."

And last, but definitely not least, I just got the green light on the location for the first feature length film I will be producing. A horror/thriller that takes place on the remote island of Martha's Vineyard on New Year's. Looking forward to the fright and the like! Stay tuned.

Oh, and if you did not notice, the site is redone but in the process I sort of kind of lot all my earlier posts.
